The Way of the Tree of Life

Author: Geoff Henstock, paper back, 330 pages. Published by the Christadelphian in March 2018.
"Genesis is the seedbed of the Bible. We find that concepts introduced in Genesis are expanded and developed in later books. Sometimes a theme may be mentioned only briefly in Genesis, but we would be unable to appreciate a point being made later in scripture if we were ignorant of those brief comments. This phenomenon is both a consequence and evidence of the divine inspiration of the Bible.

The tree of life is an example of this remarkable feature of scripture. We encounter the tree of life in the first narrative recorded in the Bible, in Genesis 2 and 3, and read of it again in the very last chapter of the Bible. Although direct references to the phrase "tree of life" occur in only three books, the theme and principles associated with it are woven into the fabric of scripture from beginning to end."

This well documented expository book contains a bibliography, a scripture index and a topical index. Also it has eight appendicies:
1. More about "the way"
2. "The way" in Christadelphian literature
3. More about the oak of Moreh and Shechem
4. Green trees and Asherim
5. Sacred trees and other nations
6. Revelation 22:19
7. Jesus as a carpenter working with wood
8. Aloes and cedars
